When receiving your award, be sure to express and add some feeling to your character. At this point of the year, you should feel comfortable speaking in front of your audience in speech class. So feel free to express yourself in any way, and imagine yourself receiving an award for reals.

Be sure to express emotion when you accept your award. I found it helpful to do some research on other words before writing my speeches. Include lots of information on the person you are presenting. Doing a funny award makes the whole process so much better, you can act it out like a skit rather than just a boring introduction. Have fun with it and be creative!

It helps a lot if you a. choose a funny award and b. act out your speech. I cried on the podium and it really helped easy the audience into the speech. When recieving an award don't try to copy what the presenter already said especially when warming up the audience. This is a really fun and easy speech. Make sure it is!
